Q: Why is it eu falo and NOT eu falar?
When a verb is used with a subject (e.g.: eu, tu, ele, etc.), it cannot remain in the infinitive. It must be conjugated according to information such as tense and person.

  • eu falo

  • NOT: eu falar

👉 The infinitive (falar) is only used in specific contexts (e.g.: after another verb: quero falar).
